Good Faith Estimate
Your Right to Receive a Good Faith Estimate
Under the federal No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their health insurance to pay for services generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of their care.
At Anchored Care PLLC, I believe you should have clear information about the cost of therapy before beginning services.
Private-Pay Fees
Current private-pay rates at Anchored Care PLLC are:
Initial Intake Session: $225
Ongoing Psychotherapy Sessions (60 Min): $150 per session
Because the length and frequency of therapy vary from person to person, the total cost of treatment will depend on the number and type of services you receive.
A Good Faith Estimate is based on the information available at the time it is prepared. It is not a contract and does not require you to receive a particular number of therapy sessions.
When You Can Receive an Estimate
If you do not have health insurance or do not plan to use insurance to pay for therapy, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of the expected cost of your care.
You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services. You may also receive one when services are scheduled in advance, as required under federal law.
Your Good Faith Estimate will be provided in writing and will include the expected charges for the services reasonably anticipated based on the information available at that time.
Changes to Your Estimate
Your Good Faith Estimate is based on the information available at the time it is prepared. Because therapy is individualized, the frequency or duration of treatment may change over time based on your needs, preferences, and treatment goals.
If the anticipated services or costs of your care change, an updated Good Faith Estimate may be provided as appropriate. You are always welcome to ask questions about your estimated costs or request an updated estimate.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Your Estimate
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than the amount listed on your Good Faith Estimate from a provider or facility, you may be eligible to use the federal Patient-Provider Dispute Resolution process.
You generally must start the dispute process within 120 calendar days of the date on the original bill.
You are also encouraged to contact Anchored Care PLLC if you have questions about a charge or believe there may be a billing error. Asking questions about your bill does not affect your right to pursue the federal dispute resolution process.
