Insurance & Fees

Understanding how therapy is paid for shouldn't be complicated.

Anchored Care works with Headway to simplify insurance billing and help make the process easier to understand before you begin therapy.

Insurance Accepted

Anchored Care currently works with select plans through Headway, including (but not limited to):

Carelon Behavioral Health

Blue Cross Blue Shield

Curative

Aetna

Cigna

Priority Health

Insurance participation and coverage vary by plan. Acceptance of an insurer does not guarantee that your specific plan is in network. Please verify your individual coverage and benefits before beginning therapy.

What Is Headway?

Headway is a platform that supports insurance billing and other administrative processes for participating therapists.

If you're using an eligible insurance plan, Headway facilitates benefits information, billing, and claims processing. Your individual coverage and out-of-pocket costs depend on your specific plan.

What You May Pay

Insurance

Depending on your plan, your responsibility may include a copay, coinsurance, deductible, or other out-of-pocket costs.

Review your benefits and expected costs before beginning therapy so you understand your financial responsibility.

Private Pay

Initial Intake — $225
Ongoing Therapy — $150 per session

How It Works

01 - Check Your Coverage

We'll determine whether your insurance plan is eligible for services through Headway.

02 - Understand Your Benefits

Your benefits and potential out-of-pocket costs will be reviewed so you know what to expect.

03 - Begin Therapy

Once everything is in place, you can and begin your therapy sessions.

Private Pay + Out-of-Network

Private-pay therapy is available for clients who prefer not to use insurance or whose insurance plan is not accepted through Headway.

Initial Intake Session — $225

Your first session is an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, your goals, relevant history, and what you'd like support with.

Ongoing Therapy Sessions — $150

Private-pay clients are responsible for payment at the time of service unless otherwise arranged.

Out-of-Network Benefits

If your insurance plan includes out-of-network mental health benefits, you may be able to submit receipts from your sessions to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Reimbursement is determined by your individual insurance plan, and Anchored Care cannot guarantee reimbursement.

If you have questions about private-pay therapy or whether it may be a good fit for you, please reach out.

Good Faith Estimates

Under federal law, people who don't have insurance or who are not using insurance may be entitled to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected healthcare costs.

A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the expected cost of services and is not a guarantee of the final amount you will owe.

You can request an estimate before receiving services.

Please note: Insurance benefits and eligibility are determined by your individual insurance plan. Coverage cannot be guaranteed by Anchored Care. Clients are responsible for understanding their insurance benefits and any applicable out-of-pocket costs.
